General Questions about CHE Resources

  • Absolutely. When I went through the program several years ago, I found most platforms were severely lacking. 
  • At this time, I have >25 years of college instructor experience, and test prep experience for 20 years. Most students find my content most beneficial because I bring great insight from decades of college instructions and reflection of when I was preparing for my own FNP and PMHNP Board Exams. 
  • The CHEducation App and the Full-length Practice Exams are made in a way that will promote learning and help your confidence unlike any other resource out there. 
  • The content is made to prepare you for both the ANCC or the AANP exams. If taking the AANP, you will pay little less attention to minor content in Module 1 besides the Primary, Secondary, Tertiary Prevention, and all the other information in other modules apply. 
  • Currently Full-length exams are available for FNP (1,2,3,4,5,6). FNP Q-bank has also been rolled out with thousands of questions in each of the 10 modules.


  • By all means!
  • The App has a Preview/Enroll Course with sample content. The App can be accessed on the computer and also on the smart phones.
  •  The Full length exam platform has a free 101 question diagnostic exam so you can become more comfortable with the platform. 
  • *** You will not be charged unless you Upgrade to any QBanks or Courses that are associated with a monthly subscription.  


  • Two resources are available. These resources are on two different platforms and so yes, you will need to create two profiles. Use the same email/usernames/passwords so it’s all easy to recall. 
  • The CHEducation App is accessible on the phone or the computer (computer access from my website https://continuinghealtheducation.com)  and has extensive information to lay a good foundation for the knowledge needed to pass the Boards. There are approximately 13,225 questions on the CHEducation App broken down in doable 25 question quizzes in each of the modules. The modules also have module memory bullets, notes, linked videos, flash cards. The information is presented in numerous formats so it caters to all learning styles. Use the App on the days when you work.
  • The Practice Exam Platform (https://exams.continuinghealtheducation.com) has multiple full-length 175 question exams and a 101 question diagnostic exam. The practice exams are meant to refine your critical thinking skills required to pass the Boards. Do the full-length exams on your days off from work since it takes 9.5 hours to take the 3.5 hour exam, followed by a 6 hour review of the rationales. You can only pause by clicking the II button on left of the Finish button.  


  • No and Yes. These are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT Platforms that are not connected so you need to create a profile on the test platform as well.  
  • However, I encourage you to use the same email and password for both platforms so it is easy to remember.


  • In the navigation bar on top of the webpage, click on Access Now and select from navigation bar either "App link" to access the CHEducation App and "Full-Length Exams."
  • You can also download the CHEducation App from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Enroll in the free Preview course in the App to see what is offered. (You can also preview the sample content on this website by going to "Services" on the navigation bar and scroll down and look at different types of content including quizzes, videos, flash cards. 


  • You should start using the resources as soon as you can.
  • The CHEducation App has QBanks thar are meant to be Companion courses that can be started while you are still in the study program. The content in the App will lay a solid foundation of knowledge needed for the boards and also throughout your nursing or provider career.  
  • In the App, you will start with the 25 question quizzes, notes, memory bullets, videos, and flash cards.
  • The Full-length exams can be taken 1-2 months before the board exam to practice questions that will refine your critical thinking needed to pass the exams.  
  • Even if you access the CHEducation App closer to the boards it will still help. After each exam, you will review your AGGREGATE REPORT and see areas of weakness on the practice exam. You can then go to the App and take more quizzes, read memory bullets, view videos, read flashcards and improve your knowledge in the weak areas and then see your score rise in those areas in subsequent exams.

  • The CHEducation App is available on all devices - smart phones, tablets, computer. 
  • Download the CHEducation App from App Store or Google Play and download App. 
  • There is NO charge for downloading the App or creating a profile. You will only be charged if you want to access the paid courses and sign up for them.
  • If you have Gmail email account Click on "Login using Google" instead of typing in email or password, and go through the next few screens and approve access. Now go back to Courses, select the course, on top of the course picture, there will be a banner stating if you want to upgrade to paid content and once you sign up and pay, the paid content will now be accessible and all modules will open up.  
  • To access via the phone use the same steps above. If you don't have any Gmail account, you can use any VALID email to create an account. Ensure your email address is correct because to reset your password, email is usually sent to the email account to reset the account.  
  • Sometimes the password has specific requirements, Usually if you have these elements, password are usually not rejected. Use one special character $, one digit, one Upper case and lower case and make the password at least 8 characters. I would recommend using the same information to create the profile on the Full-length Exam Platform as well. 


  • No, there is no charge to downloading the CHEducation APP.
  • When you download, you are merely creating a profile with an email address, name, and password (keep the same convention $, number, lower case and upper case alphabet.
  • After creating a profile, you are then able to go to Courses and click on Free Preview and are able to go through the different headings and navigate and see some of the quizzes, notes, documents, videos, flash cards. 
  • To enroll in the PMHNP QBank Plus, you can click on this LINK to enroll or simply "Upgrade" after going into the PMHNP QBank Plus course.


  • The CHEducation App has QBanks.
  • Currently PMHNP QBank Plus is available.
  • We are working on FNP, RN, AGNP, Health Coaching QBank Plus as well.
  • The QBanks/Companion Courses are supposed to be used while still in the program and all the way through to graduation, boards, and the first few months of nursing or provider practice.

  • The CHEducation App to download is free.
  • After you download, you register to create a FREE profile and enroll in FREE Preview to see how the content appears and how to access in each of the modules. Then you decide whether to sign up for any QBank Plus.
  • The QBank Plus course is a $30/month subscription, based on the concept of a $1 a day towards your learning.  
  • Keep an eye on the subscription date, because you'll need to contact me a couple of days before the end of the subscription and request cancellation. The information and video link are in a FAQ below. 


  • Companion course in the App (PMHNP Q-Bank Plus) can be utilized while in the program and also closer to the Boards. Use CHEducation APP MASTER CHECKLIST to keep track of what you cover in the App.

  • PMHNP QBank Plus has the following:
  • ~13225 practice questions broken down into 25-question quizzes in each of the modules. You never get a random selection and see questions that you've already completed before. 
  • Other platforms have only 1200 to 1500 practice questions that are not comprehensive. 
  • Extensive rationales are seen right after answering a questions for memory consolidation to take place in real time. 
  • How are the QBank questions different from the 2000 questions in the Full-length Practice Exam Platform? - The QBank questions are supposed to give you the strongest foundational knowledge of the content, while the Full-length Exam questions tests your critical thinking skills in those foundational content topics to give you mastery over all the content, no matter what type of questions you encounter on the Board exam.  
  • Since it is a QBank PLUS, other items besides the 4000 questions are provided to you for FREE to gain mastery over the content. 
  • The modules also have memory bullets, notes, linked videos, flash cards so no matter what your learning style is, you WILL find an engaging way of absorbing and reviewing the content in many different formats.  


  • The questions in the Companion course/PMHNP Q-Bank plus are your companion while you are in the program. The 13225 questions and resources help you gain the confidence not only by utilizing the QBank but also all the other resources that are available in each of the modules.  
  • I sure hope you do. If you do, you will graduate with more confidence than others who are not using it and saying "My university program didn't teach me anything!"
  • The App is meant to be your true and BEST COMPANION during your academic program.

  • The content will help you master content for your classes and clinicals, as well as when you are preparing for the Board exam. 


  • Some students continue to use the CHEducation App while preparing for their job interviews, while others continue grilling themselves with questions and content during the first few months of their practice so they feel more confident on the job.

  • First check your phone to see if you can see the CHEducation App in your phone subscriptions. If you do, ONLY YOU can cancel it.  
  • If you don't see the App in the phone, then it must have gone through Stripe due to the security settings on your phone. In that case you will need to email us to cancel the subscription. 
  • Email us at cheducation@yahoo.com and request to cancel
  • You should email a couple of days prior to the end of the current subscription date and this will allow us to respond and cancel the subscription.
  • If you are emailing us the day of the subscription after you have been already charged, your subscription will be canceled so you are not charged for the next month and you will have access through the end of the subscription month but you will not be reimbursed for the current month.

  • Remember you have to make a NEW SEPARATE Profile on the Exam Platform because it is an Actual Test Platform that is NOT connected to the CHEducation App.
  • When you are on this website, you can simply click on PRACTICE EXAMS on the top right of the Navigation bar on the top. 
  • The Direct LINK to the exam platform can also be used.
  • When you get to the site, BOOKMARK it.
  • Here is a VIDEO how to access and navigate through the test platform. 
  • You may also want to print out the FULL-LENGTH EXAM CHECKLIST so you are keeping a track of how many times you have completed each exam.   
  • Register to set up a profile with email and password. Use one special character $, one digit, one Upper case and lower case and make the password at least 8 characters. I would recommend using the same information to create the profile as you did for the CHEducation App so it is easy to remember. 


  • PMHNP:  Diagnostic Test with 101 Questions ($5). Exams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 with 175 questions each ($7)
  • FNP: Exams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Currently working on Exams 7, 8
  • Upcoming: RN, Coaching, AGNP, others...


  • Plan on taking each exam 2-3 times before taking the Board exam. 
  • This means that all day-offs should be reserved to doing full length exams a few weeks leading up to the Boards. 
  • I recommend starting to take the exams 1-2 months prior to the ANCC or AANP Board Examination. 
  • You may take the Diagnostic test if available earlier if you want to gauge your knowledge and get some insight in formulating a study plan. 
  • These exams are meant to increase confidence each consecutive time you retake them. For knowledge consolidation I recommend taking the same test over before moving to the next exam, given you have ample time to go through all of them.  
  • My exams are much harder than the actual boards. I want to challenge you during practice exams so you don't feel challenged during the Boards and the Board exam seems so much more simple because you were used to take harder exams.
  • Those who have failed the Boards before may benefit from taking exams multiple times to get using the exams in a practice mode and decreasing anxiety.  


  • You are able to take a practice exam on an ACTUAL Certification Test Platform that is exactly like and has the same functionality as the Prometric Exam.  
  • After paying and registering for the exam, you have access for 3.5 hours of timed exam. During the exam you can pause the exam by clicking on the PAUSE sign II, right next to the finish. When you log in again, and CONTINUE, the clock will start where you left off.  
  • After you click finish, you can see your Summary Report, AGGREGATE REPORT to review weak areas in a bar graph, and also 6 hour access to review Rationales under QUESTIONS.  The 6 hours of access for the rationales CANNOT be paused. 
  • To take the exam, you would register again to take the exam over again.

  • Here is an example of a ROTATIONAL PLAN if too close to the Board Exam or if you feel you are stuck on Module 1 due to how extensive the prep content is.
  • You will use the same CHEDUCATION APP MASTER CHECKLIST to keep a track of your progress in the App.
  • You will also use the Full Length Practice Exam Checklist to keep a track of how many times you have taken each of the practice exams.


  • For PMHNP, Exams 1 & 2 are easier than the rest of the exams. 
  • For exams 3-10 and the diagnostic exam, the questions can be 2-4 paragraphs long.
  • Why would you pay me for exams that reflect the same level of difficulty as the Boards? 
  • My attempt is to challenge you to an extent, that on exam day, you find the Boards fairly easy because you are used to taking exams as a much higher difficulty level.  
  • I'm trying to make you sit through a "Boot Camp" every time you take a Practice Exam. I want you to be used to sitting in one place for 9.5 hours so on exam day 3.5 hours seem pretty easy to sit through the Boards.
  • I'm trying to grill and drill you with hard questions so the Boards feel like a piece of cake. 
  • And yes, I have included SELECT ALL THAT APPLY or MATCHING questions that you will NOT see on the Boards. Why wouldn't I? If I want to give you comprehensive learning and readiness for the Boards, why would I not challenge you in the practice setting to enhance your learning, so you can answer the questions, no matter what angle the test question maker throws a question at you. Getting alternate format questions  during practice should be welcomed.  
  • The idea is that when you take the exam the second time after reviewing the rationales, you will have so much more confidence and knowledge while answering the questions.  


  • Absolutely.
  • If you get discouraged easily, then register and take the exams first in the "Study Mode" and click start and finish, and go directly to the rationales and review or 5-6 hours. Then register again and take the exam in the timed mode. You will find yourself much more confident and will see how the questions are formulated to enhance your critical thinking. 
  • If you have ample time before the Boards to take the exams twice on your off-days, then take them in timed mode each time.
  • Also when taking the exam, utilized the following strategies. Read the answer choices first, then the last two sentences of the questions to see whether you even need to read the entire 2-4 paragraphs of the question or can answer and move onto the next question. 
  • For example: Answer choices are: Mesocortical pathway, Tuboinfindibular pathway, Nigrostriatal pathway, Mesolimbic pathway. Last sentence in the question says: What dopamine pathway is implicated in a patient who was started on a antipsychotic and is now having EPS symptoms. You don't need to read the entire question to select Nigrostriatal.  This strategy may not work for all the questions, but even if it does in some of them, it will help you save a lot of time so you can finish within time allowed.  


  • Why is that a surprise when I already mentioned that my exams may be 5 to 10 times harder than the actual boards. 
  • 2-3 out of a 100 are passing my exams the first time they take them. 
  • A low score should be expected and you will see your score rise every subsequent time you take the same exam. 
  • **Exams should be repeated very close in proximity (same day or next day) so the memory consolidation can take place within a short period of time. Plus you'll be reviewing the same content 4 times if you take the exam twice. 
  • **If you are finding that the low scores or high difficulty level is hurting your self-confidence, then take the exam the first time in the study-mode = register, click on Finish, spend 6 hours reviewing every sentence in the rationale including incorrect answers. Then register again for the exam and take it in the timed mode the same day or the next day. You will find your confidence increasing because every time you take the exam, you know the concepts behind the questions and also you know how to use the critical thinking skills to answer these test questions.  
  • When reviewing rationales, I recommend reading the question again, the answer choices again, rationale why selection was correct, reviewing why the incorrect answers were incorrect for ALL QUESTIONS, NOT ONLY the questions you had incorrect. 
  • I've spent so much time on the rationales, to make sure you have comprehensive overview of the topic and other topics for incorrect answer choices because that information will help you on other questions down the road.    


  • The overall threshold for scores for the exams is 70%. 
  • Although this is true, it doesn't help you any if you are not able to even identify your weak areas and continue practicing before your boards. 
  • That's why I have gone in and also set the threshold for each individual section at 70% as well. 
  • The questions are divided in the same section topics as the modules so you can readily identify your weaknesses in specific areas so you have a targeted plan and section to tackle and improve once you go back into the CHEducation App after the test. Once you take additional quizzes in that section, and utilize notes, memory bullets, videos, flash cards, you will see your score rise in the weak areas every subsequent exam you take.   


  • Now, why would I do that to you when the AANP or ANCC breakdown is not even helpful for your learning?
  • I have had 25 years of college teaching experience to be able to reflect how content is broken down and to be able to give you the MOST MEANINGFUL breakdown so you can improve on your weak areas. 
  • For example, if the test taker gets the report after failing the Boards, it says they were weak in "Diagnosis and Treatment".
  • ANCC: "You are weak in Diagnosis and Treatment. Better luck next time."
  • You: "Which Diagnosis am I weak in ANCC, can you please tell me so I know what areas to focus my study before my next retake?"
  • ANCC: "You are weak in Diagnosis and Treatment."
  • You: "So you want me to read the >700 pages in the DSM V to master all the diagnosis? But I only have 60 days and don't have enough time. I only want to focus on my weak areas. What do you suggest I do ANCC?"
  • ANCC: ... no answer, only crickets. 
  • I have broken the entire CHEducation resources in a very meaningful way, so not only you are able to absorb and master the content, but once you identify your weaknesses by taking Full-length exams, you know exactly where to go in the CHEducation App and master even the weak areas.
